They are FAST! Framing looks like it is almost done

It is amazing how fast they have progressed. I drove by this morning to show Marjorie the new house and they already had the roof framed.
It was still very wet and the mud was awful. As you can see, there is a pretty good distance between my house and the neighbors as compared to other houses. This is a good thing :)

It looks like things will move fast from here on out. The builders have opened the delivered lumber and have begun to frame the house. They are laying out the walls on the foundation then they erect the wall.

It was raining and very muddy.

360 Degree View From The Foundation of My New Home
I got a new App for my iPhone 4S called DerManDar that takes fantastic 360 degree panoramic images. I stood at the center of the foundation that will become my new house and used the App.

I Am Going To Build A New House!
I have decided that I have had enough of apartment living. It is a great way to save money and keep life simple, but moving to a first floor apartment was a mistake.
I have decided to look for a house, and needed to live in Allen to be close to Marty's school and keep Marty close to Marjorie. We have a really good setup with living close to each other and the proximity makes life easier and more cohesive and enables us to co-parent very effectively.
After looking at a few older houses I decided to see if there was any new construction in Allen, TX that would be in my price range, very close to Marty's school and also close to Marjorie. I found a community in Southeast Allen, TX called Morgan Crossing with homes by DR Horton. The location was perfect! The new house also puts us close to Marcie and Caleb, it is a really nice setup. Allen is really a great place to live!
Here is where the house is located:
- Google Maps Home Location
- Address:
- 1807 Harlequin Place
Allen, TX 75002
Here is a Community Map with my lot circled in Red
Here is more information about the Morgan Crossing community:
The model of the house I am going to get is:
- Model 1033 Stacy
- Front Elevation A
- 1,916 Square Feet
- Enclosing the Formal Dining Room into a Study with french doors
Here are details of the Model 1033 Stacy
